Juliana was born in Uganda on 27 November 1981, she attended Namasagali College in Kamuli district for her high school education.
Juliana Kanyomozi is a cousin to King Oyo, the reigning Omukama of Toro, in Western Uganda. Juliana’s father and King Oyo’s father were biological brothers. She is single. She is the mother of one, named Keron Kabugo, whose father is Amon Lukwago, a Ugandan businessman. In 2006, she had a temporary romantic relationship with US-based Ugandan boxer Kassim Ouma

Juliana rose to fame in the late 1990s as one half of the all-girl duo I-Jay, with Iryn Namubiru. The group’s single titled Vive la Vie was a popular record on Ugandan radio stations at that time. After the duo disbanded, Juliana launched a solo career that has included the release of some popular songs like, Say Yes, My heart, Nabikoowa, Alive Again, Kanyimbe, Seven days among others.
Juliana has made collaborations with numerous artists including local artistes Bobi,Sweet Kid and with Klear Kut among others.
She has also performed with Tanzanian artist, Bushoke , Burundi’s Kidum, Ghana’s Jay Ghartey and Drc’s Alicios among others.
Juliana hosted a morning radio program on Capital FM Radio in Kampala.
In 2008, she was voted “Uganda’s Fashion Icon”. Juliana Kanyomozi was the first female musician to win the Pearl Of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards) ‘Artist Of the Year’ accolade.
Again in 2008, she made her film debut in Henry H. Ssali’s “Kiwani: The Movie”. she still holds the record of having won the Artist of the year award for the two consecutive years 2008 & 2009.
In 2009, she was one of the three judges at the Tusker Project Fame, an East African talent show.
Juliana has made collaborations with numerous artists including local artistes Bobi,Sweet Kid and with Klear Kut among others.
