The new season of Tusker Project Fame has already kicked off with auditions in the different participating countries;Kenya,Uganda,Tanzania and Rwanda.
The reality show which is on it’s sixth season this year has already been tagged bigger and better.
we managed to catch up this with the show’s meanest and baddest judge, Ian Mbugua
at a weekend event, intended to mentor upcoming artistes. Ian said that
this year’s season is expected to be bigger with his definition being
“Watch this space.”
He further spoke about the previous contestants and shed some light on gaps that need to be filled for this year’s season.
“I hope that this time more talent will flock in for auditions. We want people to take home something more than just winning.”
However, he confessed that previous TPF contestants reflect
redundancy in the music industry. In his view this is due to poor
management skills and finances.
“They lack support in sponsorship and honest record labels with quality. A lot needs to change this time round,” adding,
“I hope EABL as a sponsor can manage these talents even after TPF
seasons with more opportunities from events and outside performances.”
