The auditions for the show are ongoing and with Kisumu already done, Mombasa, Nakuru and Nairobi are next. Last weekend at Mombasa’s Big Tree Hotel, sponsors, EABL, treated music fans to an entertaining extravaganza, as it geared up for the weekend’s auditions.
Tusker marketing manager, Antony Esyalai, said: “The carnivals are a series of concerts that will take place in selected major towns, in preparation for the auditions, in the run up to the launch of the sixth edition of Tusker Project Fame.”
Among the artistes who thrilled the mammoth crowd included Ally B, Nyota Ndogo, Ommy Dimpoz, Ng’ng’alito and Wazushi. During the event, three lucky karaoke singers, Alphonce Suleiman, Sarah Weru and James Kinyua, won for themselves a ‘golden ticket’ that guaranteed them straight admission at the Nairobi.
