Tusker Project Fame 6 To Cost $2m

Tusker Malt Lager, one of East Africa’s premium beers, has invested close to $2.4m (1.75b Ksh) in a new talent search project named Tusker Project Fame. 

Uganda Breweries™ marketing director, Hilda Karamagi, said the reality show format is a blend of internationally-acclaimed talent seeking reality shows to bring home a platform where local untapped talent showcase their potential.

Tusker Project Fame is a reality television show in which 12 competitors from East Africa (four from each country) will have an opportunity to perform their way to stardom over seven weeks.
The contestants, (between 21 and 30 years) will stay at the Tusker Academy, where they will be given expert training in every aspect of the music business from performance and song writing to behind the scenes preparation.
They will be picked for their musical aptitude as The audience gets to see the journey of representatives from East Africa countries straight from their auditions to their stay in a house where they get trained and coached to perform before judges.
