East Africa’s most watched and love reality and musical TV show, Tusker Project Fame is back for the seven season dubbed Tusker Project Fame 6. It is no secret now that this season has some changes and it aint news anymore knowing that Eric Wainaira is the new Principle replacing principle Helen.
This evening, Joey had the opportunity seating down the busy Principle for a chit chat from how the principle is doing to what is to transpire this week.
Talking about the overwhelming views and reactions of him joining the Academy, the principle said that he is feeling wonderful and happy for all the positive views and reaction received highlighting the one where he was referred to as a les in the mid 80s and the other that put him and his student Sitenda in the same bracket.
About the performance where he together with the faculty and the students performed, he he said he was glad and happy they pulled it off and also referred to it as a wonderful moment where they were singing not only to themselves but to a community and society finally feeling happy for his students because they were able to put up a great performance within little time of practice.
About the opening gala, he said he was sad about the eviction of Dubart, who in his opinion was one performer that always never forgot his smile whenever he was performing although he agreed that he (Dubart) had a number of cut offs while he was performing and also made some mistakes that did cost him a place. He was surprised by the eviction of Peace and that at some point he thought the judges had made a mistake in reading out the names
Finally while talking about the choice of songs, he at first agreed that the students love to choose the top 40 songs. He further went ahead to outline that its for this reason that he has chosen the theme “The Songs I Grew up With” further saying that this will enable widen the students’ scope.
